Message from our Chairperson to the 8th anniversary of Ilocos Consolidated Cooperative Bank (ICCB)

To our dear cooperative members, partners, stakeholders, and the entire ICCB family: Warm greetings of solidarity and prosperity! It is with great pride and heartfelt gratitude that I join you all in celebrating the 8th Founding Anniversary of Ilocos Consolidated Cooperative Bank (ICCB). This milestone marks not only the passage of time, but also the continued success and resilience of an institution born out of unity, trust, and the unwavering commitment to cooperative development in Northern Luzon.

Eight years ago, the dream of a stronger, more unified cooperative banking system became a reality through the visionary leadership of our late founder, Former Congressman Engr. Jose R. Ping-ay, along with committed cooperative leaders and stakeholders. The process was not easy—it was a journey filled with consultations, legal groundwork, and collaboration among institutions with a shared mission. It was this spirit of unity that led to the historic consolidation of Ilocos Sur Cooperative Bank (ISCB) and Cooperative Bank of Ilocos Norte (CBIN)—the union that gave birth to ICCB.

Our existing asset base, strong capital adequacy ratio, and growing deposit base were early signs of promise—and they have only grown stronger with each year. More importantly, we have remained true to our cooperative identity: placing service above profit, ensuring our members’ voices are heard, and using our resources to fuel inclusive economic development.

As Chairperson, I commend the unwavering dedication of our Board of Directors, Management, and all stakeholders who have worked tirelessly to ensure that ICCB not only meets the regulatory standards set by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, PDIC, and CDA, but that it thrives in a highly competitive banking environment while remaining people-centered and mission-driven.

This 8th Anniversary is a celebration of our progress—and a reaffirmation of our commitment. As we look to the future, I am confident that ICCB will continue to be a pillar of stability and opportunity. Let us embrace the challenges ahead with the same courage and unity that brought us here. I wish our bank:

•More strength in operations, guided by sound management and robust policies;

•Greater success in all its endeavors, from expanding our services to modernizing our systems and supporting more inclusive growth;

•And a growing membership, as we continue to reach out to cooperatives, individuals, and communities who can benefit from our shared strength.
